The voice of the river enters since the hotel: what more should our fisherman friends hope for? Following the example of the most celebrated European reserves, fishing is closely linked to the Hotel San Carlo, which can offer a high quality fishing tourism.
For a precise management choice, the size of the trouts swimming in the river is very high. Brown, marbled and char trouts have an average weight of over 2 kg, and there is no shortage of “old” garments that exceed 3/4 kg!
Brown trout and marble trout are grown in the same water as the river. This uncommon choice of repopulation, in place by some time, has established the great success of this unique reserve in Italy.
Is the area where you can do ground fishing and spinning.
It starts at Ponte di Nava, runs alongside the Hotel San Carlo and ends at the Cantarana dam. Three kilometers of crystal clear waters and excellent plains, populated by large brown, marble and char trouts: it is easy to observe the large trouts hunting and appreciate their sizes (from 700 g up to 4 kg) and qualities that have made the our fishing reserve known throughout Europe.
The daily permits allow you to keep up to 5 garments.
Is the area where fly fishing is practiced, even in the no-kill regime.
It starts from the Cantarana dam and ends at the gates of Ormea. The stretch of the river, more torrential and punctuated by large boulders, is home to large brown, marble and char trouts. The medium size, over the kilo, makes the use of the mouse tail and barbless lures more exciting.
A catch permit is available in the Blue Zone for those who want to keep the finest trout as trophy.

Fly fishing from 8 AM to 6:30 PM
In addition to the Turipesca daily permit, Italian or foreign fishermen must have a licence from the Regione Piemonte to fish in our reserve.

Keep the payment receipt and bring it along with an identity document during the fishing day.

Fulvio, Simone, Guido, Matteo, Alessio or Tommaso are available for both expert anglers and beginners, and can also provide all the necessary equipment and, on request, a photo service of your fishing day and full immersion weekend with the possibility of visiting the waters near the Tanaro, such as the Rio Negrone.
Booking required at least one week in advance.
Your children can have fun fishing in the breeding tanks.
